OSCR is funded by the Mississauga Halton LHIN and by the Region of Halton and does not conduct regular or aggressive marketing activities in order to attract clients. OSCR provides services to clients with specific needs in keeping with programs for which OSCR is funded. Potential clients are not sought through marketing.
OSCR has policies on ethical practices that include:

  • Personal conduct and safety
  • Alcohol and substance abuse
  • Ethical use of electronic communications
  • Theft
  • Setting boundaries
  • Waste/fraud
When marketing and advertising the services and amenities OSCR offers to clients, OSCR will not misrepresent products or services, and will not mislead clients or potential clients by statement, or by manner of demonstration or making a comparison.
Photography, artwork, type size, colour, contrast, style, placement, verbal description and audio-visual portrayal will accurately and fairly describe the product or service offered. Employees or agents of OSCR will be vigilant in ensuring that the general impression of the communication does not deceive by omission or commission. Communications are to be simple and easy to understand.
OSCR’s privacy policies and procedures ensure compliance with all legislation as required.
